a5c7b9f00b Matt Brody is a 2-time Olympic champion swimmer. However, due to drug and alcohol problems he has fallen from grace, to the point that he now has to perform community service as part of a plea deal for an offense. He will serve his time as a lifesaver at Emerald Bay lifeguard station, run by the no-nonsense Mitch Buchannon. Brody soon discovers that his celebrity status will earn him no favours. Meanwhile, people are dying in mysterious circumstances in Emerald Bay and Buchannon and his lifesaving team investigate. The occurrences may be linked to a nearby property development.
Devoted lifeguard Mitch Buchannon butts heads with a brash new recruit, as they uncover a criminal plot that threatens the future of the bay.
I have not laughed so hard in such a longtime. Baywatch has a phenomenal cast and everything you&#39;d want out of a comedy. I recommend this to everyone, except maybe the little ones. The entire theater was laughing their butts off, I could barely breathe!<br/><br/>This isn&#39;t a serious story driven movie, and if you can&#39;t handle jokes, this movie is not for you.<br/><br/>It didn&#39;t even feel like a 2 hour movie, which is a good thing.<br/><br/>Could be considered a spoiler I suppose:<br/><br/>My favorite scene is in the beginning (The Beach chair), if you&#39;ve seen the movie you understand what I am referring too.
Zac Effron has to be the worst actor of this generation. I don&#39;t understand why he keeps getting reamed down our throats. I get it, he&#39;s disney and his bod is glistening with Mickey Mouse&#39;s salivia but this should not get him placement in major motion pictures especially Baywatch. He has one character &quot;Massingal&quot;. I think if his character was completely omitted it would be a decent movie. The Rock is the Rock as always and the supporting cast of nobodies get the job done but Massingal&#39;s performance takes away from the whole picture. I give it one Doody Ring
In terms of body objectification, Baywatch is an equal-opportunity exploiter, but when it comes to comedy, it's a total boys' club.
